The Venue Reception & Box Office is open Monday to Friday 9am - 8.30pm with the exception of Wednesday (9am -5pm) and Friday 9am -4pm .  

The Venue Bar is open from 7.00pm when events are on and Friday and Saturday from 8.30pm on non event nights They stock a great range of cask and draught beers, wines and spirits 

The Venue can also help you with your own special event. We have a variety of function rooms available for hire for parties, conferences, weddings, exhibitions and other events. Please contact us for information on pricing and the facilities on offer.

The Venue has a wide range  events taking place such as concerts, gigs, plays and other performing arts. We host  Folk Nights and regularly hold Band Nights

Fancy a gig?

The Venue runs band nights open to all ages, experience and genre. If you fancy a gig either email graham.silverwood@btinternet.com or private message The Venue in Facebook.

The Venue is not just a place to watch or listen, why not try out a variety of activities and leisure learning  here at the Venue. 

Learn new skills such as cake decorating, scrap booking, jewellery making, cake decorating, Play Ukulele, Learn Bridge and crafts.  If you would like to learn how to use a computer or improve your computer skills, we run a number of leisure learning courses  Other regular activities include Music and Song for pre-school children, Children's activities as well as Slimming World, , Zumba, Chairobics, Pilates, and singing with the Waldershelf Choir.

There are regular car boot sales as well as craft fayres and food markets - Car boot pitches cost £10 and run from 8.30am-11.30am once a month on a Saturday (open to booters at 8.15am) These regularly sell out so please book in advance

New - Meditation is a way of calming the mind and developing a positive approach to life.This is a course suitable for beginners and those wishing to improve their meditation practice. This is a practical based course where you will get the opportunity to experience the benefits of meditation for yourself.

Monthly Musical event featuring a range of great entertainers and singers - all welcome £2 entrance includes refreshments, tea and coffee, scones, cream, jam -

Messy Play - Spooktacular
Calling all witches, devils, cats and bats! Mess Around's creepy, crawly, gruesome Spooktacular party has landed. Little ones can mix, pour, dig and explore, from ghostly mud to gory goo. Hear their cackles of delight as they get ghoulishly messy. So don't be haunted by messy play, simply come along and mess around and leave the cleaning up to us!

The event is suitable for children aged 6 months (or sitting unaided) to 5 years old. What makes us special is everyone is welcome to join in including older siblings up to the age of 10, who on weekend and holiday sessions can participate in the Big Kids Create & Make Corner which include Arts, Crafts and Junk modelling activities to keep them busy!

Indoor Car Boot
Indoor carboot at The Venue Saturday starts 8.15am  Must be booked and paid for in advance £10 per stall FREE parking and over 50 stalls
